FERNANDO

“I have debts from legal fees and tickets that I don’t even know how to solve. . . . I just always want to be outside.”

~ Fernando

Fernando served 8 months in prison and was assessed $2,750 in court debt. The prison then transferred him to ICE detention because he was undocumented. ICE held him for 7 years, until a human rights lawyer intervened and he was released back into the US.
